- Locally Gale over AMS and  KER.

PART 2: GENERAL SYNOPSIS, 26/05/08 AT 1200UTC

- High 1025 hPa near 33S/59E moving slowly eastward with ridge to the southwest.
- Front CF arriving soon over west WAM and west CRO.
- Low 989 hPa near 46S/78E with associated front, leaving soon the area to the east.


PART 3: FORECAST FOR 24 HOURS FROM 26/05/08 at 1800UTC  to 26/05/09 at 1800UTC

WAM (30S/40S, 50E/65E)
Rain and frontal showers in the west, with local thunderstorms.
WIND: Anticlockwise 3/5, but southwesterly 5/6 in the southeast at first, soon increasing north to northeast 5/6, very locally 7 in the west with the arrival of the front, decreasing northwesterly 3/4 in the southwest at end.
SEA: moderate to rough, locally very rough in the southeast. South swell, 2/4 meters in east.
VISI: poor to very with precipitation.


AMS (30S/40S, 65E/80E)
Rain and frontal showers in the southeast at first.
WIND: Southwest 4 to 7, from northwest to southeast, reaching 8 locally in the southeast at first, settling Southerly 3 to 5 in the west later.
SEA: very rough, but rough in the northwest and high in the far southeast. Southwest swell 3 to 5 meters.
VISI: poor with precipitation.


CRO (40S/50S, 50E/65E)
Rain and frontal showers in the northwest, loc thunderstorms.
WIND: Variable anticyclonic 2/4 ahead of the front, settling soon Northeast 5/6 with the front in the northwest, backing Northwest 3/4 behind it in the far northwest at the end. But in the eastern zone, Southwest 5/6, reaching 7 at first.
SEA: rough to very rough from west to east. Southwest swell 2 to 4 meters. Northwest swell 3 meters in the northwest behind the front.
VISI: poor to very poor in precipitation.


KER (40S/50S, 65E/80E)
Rain and frontal showers.
WIND: Southwesterly 6/7, locally 8, decreasing 4/5 in the northwest at end. But clockwise 3/5 in the far southeast at start.
SEA: very rough, locally high, but rough in the southeast at start. Southwesterly swell 3 to 4 meters.
VISI: poor to very poor with precipitation.
